The Board of Governors of the University of Price Edward Is- land announces the appointment of Sonya R. Banks of Halifax as the Director of Alumni, Develop- ment and Information.

Ms. Banks is currently the Manager of the Annual Fund for the Department of Devel- opment at Dalhousie University. A graduate of Dalhousie, Ms. Banks received her Bachelor of Science Degree ( Psychology) in 1984, and her Master of Business

Administration ( Marketing) in

In her new position at UPEI, Ms. Banks will have principal re- sponsibilities for the administra- tion of the alumni, development and_ publication’ relations ¢com- ponents of UPE; -As -well,. she will be responsible for: the de- velopment and implementation of fund-raising programs, and she will assist and help coordinate the efforts of the UPEI Boards of Governors, the UPEI Foundation and the University Needs Com- mittee. She will split her time be- tween Dalhousie and UPEI dur- ing December, taking her full-

- time duties at UPEI in January.
