INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION.
Tue Lypustitat Exutsrrion, under the auspices of the Royal Agricultural Society, came off in the Temperance Hall, on Vednesday last, the 2nd instant. On entering the Hall at one o'clock, we found it filled up to the entrance. The day being fine, large nambers of persons from various parts of the
Island were in attendance. There wasa very good show of home-made Cloths, earth Rags, Drugget, &., &c.; and also |
some very fine vegetables, such as Cabbage, Beets, Mango! Wuartzel, Carrots, Onions, Tomatoes, &e. The Onions were very good. S-veral very fine samples of Appics were also ex- hibited. The Cheese and Batter were first rate articles; and the Poultry were very fine. On the whole the Exhibition was
quite as good as we expected—but it feil far short of what we
have seen exhibited on some former occas:ons.—Js/.

Tas Brigantine Maacie.—By a letter recsived yesterday by a | gentleman in this City, dated St. Jolin’s N. F., Oct. 26th, we learn that | nothing farther relative to the fate of the Brigantine “ Maggie” had | reached St. John’s; but that several boats from Tropassy had coufirmed |the report that a portion of the stern of a vessel with the words | * Maggie, St. Peter’s Bay,” painted thereon, had been washed ashore there a few days previous, and also that a female’s bonnet and a reefing jacket had subsequentiy been picked? up at the same place.
