As you are probably aware all students _ registering at UPEI pay a_ fee for medical insurance. This yearwe have switched to the University Health & Accident Plus Life Plan. In coverage this is very similar to - the previous insurance; in sane cases it is ’ extended. The main differences are:‘ ,(1) it is cheaper (2) the student PAYS (for drugs and the student fills out a ' form , obtainable at the.Student Union Office, swhich the S'IUIENT sends to the insurance canpany and the student is re-imbursed by the insurance company with the cost, less $1.00.. The student administers all claims with the insurance company thus giving a privacy to personal matters that was not possible here- tofore. CHEMISTRY CLUB

The seventh biannual student conference for the Atlantic section of the Canadian Institute of Chem- istry (CIC) was held at the University of New Bruins- wick last May lst, 2nd, and 3rd, l980. Three students from the U.P.E.I. CHEMISTRY CLUB attended the con- ference and one, Peter Wentzell, presented a paper entitled “Applications of Digital Computers to Chem- istry.
The conference provided an opportuntity to meet chemistry students from all over Atlantic Canada and to learn a little chemistry at the same time. Social events included a barbecue, wine and cheese party, Banquet, and a dance (it just goes to show that chem- istry students are human as well).
Next year (l982), the University of Prince Edward Island's Chemistry Club will be hosting this event. In order to do this we need more members, which means you, so why not come out to our first meeting next WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER l7 at 122h0pm in the Cass Chem- istry Centre. Remember you need not be a chemistry student to join so plan to attend if you are inter- ested. At the meeting, Elections for this years ex- ecutive will be discussed as well as decing who will represent U.P.E.|. and the student chapters across Atlantic Canada by sitting on the executive of the Atlantic section of the CIC along with a student from Dalhousie as was decided at the conference at U.N.B..
