Comic Chatter

Yes, finally, tomorrow. I’m travelling! I’m on the road.

Years ago, whenever I trav- elled, all I thought about was get- ting off the island to a real city with (you guessed it) real comic

stores. I haven’t had the chance ~

to do that since I started collect- ing again. Hopefully this time I’ll be better prepared.

In the early eighties, I went to

But sometimes, comic stores off-island charge much more than local prices. this trap must be avoided; never pur- chase a large quantity of comics in the heat of the moment unless you know exactly how much you can get them for elsewhere. I-gen- erally scout out what ever stores I can find, checking prices against prices and, again, to the amount I have in my head.

Finally, don’t forget that if you buy a large number of issues abroad, you have to transport them home. Comics are heavy and fragile. Be careful!
