KITOHENER. Ont» Nov. 27- QIBRret smoking often causes fric- tion between English wives of Canadian war veterans and their in-iaws. That theory came today from Mrs. James H. Evans. pregi. dent of the Kitchener-Waterloo Overseas Wives Club, who re- ported that six English wives have already gone home from this area and about a dozen more are planning to do so. There were some 60 war brides in this area.

Mrs. Evans. who hails from Yorkshire. said many mothers-in- law don't approve of women smoking. "They don't seem to realize that mum 0f the cigaret smoking was brought on by war conditions. The war was awfully hard on the girls’ nerves."
