Movements of the Governor- General.
His Excellency and suite are evidently enjoying themselves in the Maritime Pro- vinces. They are visiting all the chief points of interest. On Tuesday they in- spected Londonderry fron Mines, and are reported to have been much pleased with the operations of the Irion Workers. On Wednesday, instead of coming here as was anticipate, they went to Antigonish en route to Cape Breton, which they will visit before they honor this Island with their presence.

On Tuesday last, between Cacoma and Riverie Du Loup, a ballasting train, going down a steep grade, ran into a herd of cattle and killed five of them. ‘The engines were thrown of the track and several of the cars were demolished. The regular express train going east, was, in consequence, de- tained about five hours, and was six hours late getting inte Moncton.

Acavemwy or Music.—-Will positively be in- augurated on Friday the 27th inst., when Morton’s celebrated English comedy of ‘ All that glitters is not gold,” and the farce of ‘*White versus Brown” will be the bill of fare. ‘The prices are reasonable: gallery 25 cents, parjuette 35 cents, and orchestra 50 centa. Family boxes $5. The plan of the reserved svats will be openedat the Atheneum to morrow, from 2to 5, when first choice of seats can be had. An early application, we think, wil! be necessary.
Tue grand Moonlight Excursion takes place te-might. In addition to the hours pre- viously pu olished, the steamer will call at the wharf at a quarter past nine, in order to take on board excursionists whe cannot leave at eight o'clock. ‘Thisis a wise consideration on the part of the Committee, and will, we doubt not, be duly appreciated. A grand time is in stece for those who attend.
