The President Gives a Complimentary Supper.
A very pleasant evening was spent on the 6th inat.,, at the residence of R. W. Davison, Eeq., St. Peter’s Harbor, when the Directors of the Morell Deirying Co, Lid., of which Mr. Davison is President, gave @ supyer to their cheese-maker Mr. John McAulay, of St. Peter’s Bay. At 9 o’clock the party sat down to a table groaning under the weight of gaod things
provided.’ After doing ample justice to the “inner man” the remainder of the evening was spent in songs, speeches, etc.
John McGregor, Esq, Bangor, one of the veterans of the Company, made the speech of the evening. Mr. McGregor 1s a thorough Britisher and does not feel too old to don the claymore in defence of old England, justice and fair play to all,should occasion demand it. It is to men of similar mettle that England’s might isdue. Not the least pleasant part of the programme was the presenting to Mr. McAulay the following address which speaks for it- eelf : —
