May 13 to 16 - Where the Mountain Meets the Sea a joint conference of the Canadian Nature Federation and the Federation of British Columbia Naturalists will be hosted at Qualicum Beach, Vancouver Island, 8.0. Aug. 28 or 29 - A slide presentation will be given at the Mooney's Pond Interpretive Centre by Bob and Jacob Harding in dragonflies, damselflies, and butterflies. Oct. 5 - Todd Dupuis will be the Society's guest speaker at the Natural History Society's meeting which starts at 7:30 pm at the Farm Centre on University Avenue. His presentation will focus on the "Community Achievements supported by the New Wildlife Conservation Fund".
Oct. 16 - Natural History Society field trip to the east of the Island with visits to Townshend Woodlot and the Naufrage River trail. Our leaders will be Mark Arsenault and Gerald MacDonald.
