The late Mr. Show who died sud- denly on August 26 at his homie in Winnipeg, following a. sun-stroke whilst playing golf, was born in Ed- inburgh, Somland. in 1858 and was educated at Asklrk School, Rioidemlh and at Edinburgh High School. He came to Winnipeg in 1830 and farm- cd at Austin, Man, and at Wols- eley. Saslc, until i905 when he moves‘. to Winnipeg. In 1912 hie entered the services of the Government ware~ house commissioners. A new system was instituted shortly after and a board formed with which Mr. Snow was associated until 1922 when he resigned to become secretary of the Northwest Grain Dealers Associat- ion.

Invl923 Mr. Show was appointed a grain commissioner by the Dominion Government, succeeding Mr. Stap- les, whose term had expired, which posltloin he held up to the time of his death.

Mr. Snow had always manifested a keen lnterlzst in fox breeding and was one of‘ the pioneers o! the in- dustry in Nianitoba. In 1923 he was elected to the Directors Board of the Canadian National Flox Bneeders AA- sociation and served on the Board continuously since that time. He was lust re-elect/ed in 1929 and had lrwo more years to serve on the Board at this time of his death.

He was a familiar figure at the Annual meetings of the Association. whose headquarters are at Summer- slde. Ho. made many friends while attending these meetings. At the last meeting held this summer. in July,. he made many valuable suggesw tlons forth: advancement of theAs- sociation. He was very well liked by his fellow directors and his Judge- ment vias often sought; especially in contraction with problems in the Can adlan West. He was en advoeator of the Provincial Fox Shows.
