two soccer games, and the ex— cellent CIMN broadcast of the game frOm U.N.B. all coming in close’sequence, we found that we could only be in one place at a time, and are thus presented with a bit of.diff— -icu1ty as we attempt to rec—' ount the events of the week- end. ‘ We'll start of with the Lady Panther's Field Hockey 'game which Lynn Crosby's girls won by a lopsided 5-1 margin ’-holding a territorial advan— tage throughout the contest.

the use of hands by anyone but the goalkeeper. We do not know one has to'be smart to play this game but the players certainly use their heads... so much so that we wonder how many aspirin tablets are iss- ued.after a game. As we are writing this the teams are again playing and we have just

We hear that the bus trip to Fredericton was a great social success and that all who went want another trip scheduled for the St. F.X. game on 18 October. We will have the fares figured out for the next Cadre. It would seem that a second bus would have been possible, and popular, had enough people, with the .fare in their hand, shown up at the Student Union office by the time specified. The bus has to be spoken for in adv— ance and the S.U. must know how many people are really wanting to go.

The two-U.N.B. first half scores were from passes from Cripoth to Rick Gray and to Bob Forbes In the first half our scores were from a 27 yard field goal by Ozzie D'Ippolito and we sc ored again the next time the Panther's got.the ball, as Marcel Dupuis recovered a fum bled punt in the end zone, and so U.P.E.I. had the lead for the only time in the game. Socky MacDonald got our only 2nd half T.D. Coach Ed Hilton seemed plesed with the overall

next year. Colin Anderson, who went all the way as quarterbac had difficulty moving the tea on the ground but was quite successful through the air as his passes were Successful in 16 of the 31 attempts for a little over 150 yards. Except for the passes we held our own defensively.

We look for a victory in Saturday's game at MacAdam Field with Mount. A. and will urge you not to miss a good game. .v ‘ .,.; 5
