DEDICATION SERVICE - A very interesting dedication service was held in Victoria United Church Sunday, August 29th, along with the regular service. A plaque given in memory of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lea, Victoria, and presented by Mrs. Richard S. 1AA, fulfilling the request of her late husband, Richard S. Lea, Montreal, was unveiled by Dr. R. Gordon Lea. Charlottetown. Mrs. J. T. Windsor the last surviving member of the family attended the service. Appropriate music was rendered by a full choir. The solo part. of the anthem, "In The Upper Garden There," was very effect- ively sung b-y Miss Maylen Bos- well. Mrs. R. Keith Boswell was the organist for the service.

PBOMINENT VISITORS _ Among the recent visitors in P. E. 1’. were Ceptain William M. Silliphsnt, MD, Medical corps. United States Navy, with his wile Jean and ivwo daughters Mary Ruth and Elisabeth Ann, They were visiting the doctor's father. Mr. J. A. Silliphent and his sis- ters. Mrs. J. W, ysttcrson and Mrs. Sherman MuDui! of Hunter River. During their vacation here they enjoyed visits to various parts o; the Island illCllldillg one to Sourls, where Dr. Silliphant was once principal of the High School there. Dr. Silliphsnt has been in the United States Navy for the past 19 years and has served in various plrts of the world both on board ships and on Naval stations ashore.
