Airmen End Final Test Before Graduation

TORONTO. Life Goes 0n As Usual Despite Nightly Raids l

harassment of aerial bombard ment, Bristol Channel, England's great maritime gateway to the west. still is open to ships of the seven seas and their cargoes for emhnttlcd Britain.

The aim of the mine-laying planes is not always good. Ono mine fell on land, damaging a farm and blowing out the window of a 17th century village church.

Sometimes this port is closed while minesweeoers clean up after the aerial visitors, but interrup- tions are slight and life goes on prcttv much as usual.

Here they count the nights when there are no air raid alarms-mud there have been just four since June 24.
