ALTAMIRANO CP-AP A police physician estimated at least 70 persons lost their lives early Saturday in the fiery collision of a crowded holiday passenger train and a freight near this Argentine community.

Only 12 bodies have so far been recovered from twisted remains of the Firefly Express which was carrying 1.030 passengers when it smashed head - on into the freight train at dawn.
