examinat on. including a Wasser- man test, was reaffirmed in a re- solution approved at the recent 25th annual meeting of the Health

League of Canada here.

In this connection it was decid- ed by the League to open at oncc an educational campaign through- out Canada. The preamble to the resolution stated that it had been proven frequently that syphilis had been transmitted from one marriage partner to the other.

During the winter Mrs. Bertram Patterson conducted most success- ful Training Classes ior Brownie Guiders. These were an inspira- tion atnd oi much benefit to all who attended. Grateful thanks are extended to Mrs. Patterson for her untiring efforts to promote the Brownie side of Guiding.

Brown Owl of the 8th Pack, who. with the assistance of Misses Bnily Kelly and Eileen McPhce as Tawny Owls, carried on Pack meetings our afternoons each week in or- der to trike care of 150 enthusias- tic Brirxnics. Miss Harper is con- tinuing her Brownie work this f.ill and is also taking over lead- rsnip of the 5th and 10th Com- panies. which were not operating last year due to shortage of Guid- ers.
