Duke Sends His Christmas Message From Royal Yacht

LONDON tReuters' - Follow- ing is the text of the Christmas message by the Duke of Edinburgh from the royal yacht Britannia:

This is Britannia. I am speak- ing to you from the middle of the south Pacific, 65 degrees south and 123 degrees west. roughly half- viay between New Zealand and Cape Horn. You will have to turn the globe upside down to find the place.

Funeral Today Of Walter Dalziel

Walter Dalziel passed away at his residen at 219 Euston Street. Charlottetown on Sunday, Dec. 23. I956 in his 65th year. The funeral will be held today. Wednesday. Vi.IIl a short service at the Mac- I.eaii Funeral Home at 1 o'clock then to St. David's United Church. Georgetown where the funeral ser- vice wililcommence at 2:30. In- trrment will be in the United Church Cemetery, Georgetown.

He was the son of the late John Dalziel, C.N.R. driver. and the late Jemima Robertson. originally of Eureka. N.S. He is survived by his wife. the former Edith Rafuse of Georgetown, and by one daugh- ter, Shirley, Mrs. Carol Leet of Toronto.

The following brothers and sis- ters also survive: William, Toron- to; John, retired marine engineer. Charlottetown; Albert. employed on the C.N.R.; Jessie. Mrs. L.W. Shaw, Katherine. on the supervis- ory staff of the Provincial Sana- torium: James II. with the Can- adian Bank of Commerce. Hali- fax. A brother Frank predeceased him in 1953.

Mr. Dalzlel. who was well known throughout the Province, had been for many years a C.N.R. station agent. many of his appoinluit-his 'bcing to the eastern section of the Island. About nine months ago he was obliged hy failing health to ap- ply for retirement.
