Montague School District Has Surplus, Meeting is Informed

The annual meeting of the Man- tague School district was held Tuesday night. with 8 present. Mr. R.A. Martin acted as chair- man, and George Nicholson as see- retary :;i- the meeting. The supplements voted amount- ed to 38,775.00; the bond retire- ment 33,165.00 and operating ex- penses, 39,335.00.

It was voted that the trustees were to proceed with the plans for painting the Memorial School and have a new coating put on its roof, and w authorized to spend up to 31,000.00 for these im- prov rments.

Mr. then reappointed auditor after which Mr. A.A. Fraser was ap- pointed as the new trustee, re- 1 cing M. S.S. Hessian.
