One of the finest flower gard- district is the lovely garden and lawn of Mr. John Webb of Blonmfield. There are sweet peas as high as the fence, lic-llyhncks, roses, giadioii, etc, and they present a most beautiful and delightful ap- pearance. Mr. Webb who is ninety-one years young. docs the rwork himself and this dear old gentleman is always willing to show visitors his garden. Ameri- can visitors passing by have told Mr. Webb that they have seldom seen a finer flower garden than his. A son, Alvin, is the Postmaster for 0'Leary_ Mrs. Wehh who is blind and has been confined to hcr bed for some considerable time. is feeling scmowhat better. She is always cheerful and happy and she and Mr. Webb take a K118i interest in the conzmunlty and church activities and in the world happenings. The spacious O'l..eary United Church had a very large congre- gation on Sunday afternoon. Sept. 12th when the special preacher was Rev E. D. Ashford. MBL, BD., 0f Calgary, one cf the lead- ers of the Crusaders Cavalacade of the United Church which il visiting the Prince Edward Island Presbytery from Sept. ilth to 16th. ‘lino guest speaker was cordially welcomed by the minister a! the church. Rev. W. G. Dickson, and taking part in the worship service was Rev. Blair Colborne of the West Cape pastoral charge. The congregation was composed of people from O'Leary. Bloomfield, Brae. West Devon, Albertcn, alan- weed, etc. The choir under the leadership of Mrs. Keith Mathe- son was heard to advantage in a aileclal number. Rev.
