Closing Exercises At St. Mary's Academy S'Side

The closing exercises of St. Mary's Academy, Summeraide. were held last evening in St. Paul's Church with the graduating dip- lomas and prizes being presented by the pastor. Rt. Rev. Msgr. GJ. MacLellan. Thirteen young ladies were graduated from grade ten, eleven of them receiving diplomas.

The graduates were. in order of merit: Diplomas, Patricia Scott, Louise Arsenauit, Dorothy Sonier, Edna. Gallant, Joan Marie Arsen- ault, Antoinette Noonan. Dorothy Arsenault, Marie Arsenault, Elizabeth Wedge, Mary l-fuestis: Certificates, Bonita Link- lettu, Joan McPhee. '

S'Side Native Dies In Toronto

Many old friends in Summerslde will be shocked to learn of the sud- den death ln ’l‘oronto yesterday oi Mr. Lister A. McLcllnn, son of the late Dr. and Mrs. A.A. McLellan of Summerslde.

The deceased, who was a veteran of World War One, was, in his younger days. an outstanding bsse~ bell and hockey player. He receiv- ed his early education here and after returning fro the war en- tered the service of the Provincial Bank of Canada. in which institu- tlon he served as manager at vari- ous branches. Later he moved tn Toronto and has resided there up to the time of his death.

He leaves to mourn two broth- ers, Lorne in Ottawa, in the Civil Service, ‘Ottawa, Patricia, of the Sun Life Company, Montreal. and Mai-ion, Mrs. Callaghan, Kinkora. *

The body is expected to be sent to Kinkora, PEI, where it will rest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Callaghan. Burial will'be in st, Paul's Cemetery, Brummerside. -S
