An unusual incident was brought to the attention of Senate by Chairman of the Political Science Dept., Fred Von Dreger. In Political Science Course 361, he thought that the marks that had been awarded,in the ‘course had been in most cases to high' the class average being 89%. The Professor re-read the exams after the chairman's request, and the marks became an average 11 points lower than the original marks aﬁter the re~read. Both the Prof. concerned and the Chairman deemed that the latter marks reflected more acur— ately the student's ef— forts in the course.
