It's nearly four years since The Beatles - the most successful group in pop mus-
ic history - last played to—,
gether. A bitter; and as yet unresolved, fight split the four Merseyside pals who hadarevolutionized?recording and started a trend in which British rock groups can fill concert halls the world over.
John and Yoko settled in New York to do their own thing; George took up Indian studies_and charity concerts; Ringo developed his movie, career, while Paul went to his new wife, Linda, before starting their own group, Wings.
While all this was hap- pening, the world, it seemed had taken Off on a mad flight of nostalgia. Predictably, tasts would advance to the 605 and there would again be a resurgence in demand for Bealtles' music.

On March 12, 1973, he put his new group out for their first concert - at a High School in Kirkland Lake. The four members of the group, appropriatley called Liverpool, had met for the first time eight days earlier. That first concert was marked by such statements as: "Hey, what key are you playing in?"
