Of the PeEeIe Senior Volleyball League saw only u-of the six teams in the league participating at C.F.B. Summerside on Nov.25. The Pumas and the Junior 'Stars,both from: Charlottetown Y.M.C.A.. were unable to compete that night.

The first place Micmao team won all their games the fourth place C.F.B.

Summerside team lost all their games,and the thir d place U.P.E.I.team, along with the fifth place Prince County Jrs. had a3-3 win-loss record Standings to Nov.25:

U.P.E.I. Hosts the U. of Quebec For Two Encounters

Intercollegiate Hockey returns to the Forum this week-end as the UPEI Hoc- key Panthers play host to the Universite du Quebec a Trois Rivieres For two games, Saturday and Sun- day e _

For the Panthers who now have_a 3-2 record this will be the last hockey action until after Christ- massand it promises to be exciting action.

"Les Patriotes" of Que- bec placed second to Loy- ala last year in the Ot-' tawa - St Laurent Confer- ence and they have many returnees to this years squad. Leading the list of returnees is last years scoring leader in the conference, Richard Dupras. Joining him is this years Captain high scoring Andre Aubry and play-ff MVP last years goolie Robert Lafleur. Guiding the "Patriotes" again this year is Guy St-Jean and to date they have a 3-2 record with all thEir games on the road 0 ‘

The Panthers who suf- fered a disappointing loss to the Universite de Monoton over the week- end are looking forward to this week-ends games. Considering Considered by some as possible contenders for the AIHL title this year. it would appear that in play to date that Panther veterans have not played up to their capabilities while the rookies have been looking more impress- ive each time out.

It is hoped that these exhibition games on home ice will give the Panthers impetus to carry them in- to the second half of ' their schedule. The Pant; hers have an extended home schedule immediately after Christmas break a which will give Island fans an opportunity to see the caliber of hockey the AIHL is dishing up this season. .

Game time at the Forum is 7pm on Saturday. This will allow everyone a chance to get home to see the game on TV, and 2pm on Sunday. An advanced sale of tickets will be held at the Forum Satur- day at 10:00am and 2pm.
