The question of the proposed reduction of the present duty of 50 per cent on silver tux pelts goinll into the United States was very t thoroughly discussed.

Arguments were produced as to, why the present duty should be_ main-mined and figures and statis- | tics on prices received in London‘ and New York for similar typesoi skins were given. Other speakers, contended that the proposed re-; dmction d; (the d-uty to 25 per cent would mean a correwondlng profit to the ranchers here on certain kinds of pelts.
