What's On At the Panther Lounge

Another fantastic week has passed down at the Panther Lounge with the start of Labatt Jam Night, the Amazing Santini show which was so good we think we’ ll have to bring him back second semester, and another full house for the movie pub.

Congratulations to Station Manager Todd King who put together quite a show on Saturday night, over two hundred people came out to watch eleven bands perform from open- ing till close. The Barn staff gave the best band nod to Blackpool.

This Thursday Rubber Chicken will be performing in the Lounge. What is Rubber Chicken you might ask? A couple of staff members have already seen the show and they say it’s a night of hilarious comedy with the highlight being comedian Alan Fitzgerald and his alter ego Fitz.

I guess nobody eats breakfast on Friday mornings judging by the amount of popcorn we’ ve been going through during our

movie pubs. Hopefully these people were at the Barn on Thursday night and that’s why they can’t eat until the afternoon! No, seriously folks we’ ve ordered more draft jugs and we’ll have more tables and chairs for everyone so they can enjoy this week’s movies, White Sands and Final Analy- sis. (We’ve scratched Prince of Tides for this week because we didn’t want two serious movies - too much drama for a Friday!)

Next week’s movies will be Bugsy starring Warren Beatty (Madonna’s Ex) and Beethoven (yes the movie about the dog!)

Plans are in the making for an Irish Pub Night in the next week or two. We’ll have an Irish band, green beer, and lots of rowdies for this night. September has been a blast and we’re hoping for an even better October. We hope everyone has some summer Savings left because we have our annual Halloween Pub, Nic Raine, and 3 Piece Suit.
