A Coristian Kodeavor Convention was in full session Thursday night lastat the Dock Charch when shots were heard in the manse near by and a cry of marder setup. The congregation was face to face with a tragedy. Some of the bravest,forcing ao entrance into the manse, found the kiteh en floor flooded with — fresh biood and the walls beariug all the traces of a bloody struggle. And up stairs, the way to which was traced in gore, Iny the dead body of a mau in sailor attire. The doctor was summoned, the senior Magis- trate, R. B. Reid, called upon the scene and everything put in readines to face a serious crisis in the history of the smart litle western town.
