A True Focus On Education

Tuition rates at the University of Prince Edward Island have gone up by 33% since the Conservative Government came to power. This simply can not continue.

A Liberal Government will:

* Establish a tax relief program for graduating Prince Edward Island university or college students who return to or remain in this Province. Under this program students will be able to apply up to $20,000 in provincial income tax directly to their student debt.

* Provide the University of Prince Edward Island and Holland College with additional resources to deal with issues of deferred maintenance
