It is hoped that these books will be read at once and passed on to other members.

An auction sale was then held, the capable auctioneer for the oc- casion being Mrs. James Oildmore. the sum of 312.94 was realized. A dainty lunch was served by the hostess and committee in charge.

Mrs. Leslie Paynter was hostess to the Clinton Women's Institute on Wednesday evening, February lsth. with the president in the chair, meeting opened in the us- ual manner. Roll call was res- ponded to by'ten members with a donation to' the "March of Dimes": total t received 82.45.

One visitor was present. Minut- es of last meeting were read, ap- proved and signed. one girl's sweater and one girl's dress were passed in and knitting and sew- ing given out. The monthly meeting of south Wlnsloe Women's Institute met at the home of Mrs. Harold Diamond on Feb. 'ith with the president, Mrs. Erith Hughes opening the meeting by reading the Institute Ode. The Island I-Iymni was then sung, followed by the creed.

Next meeting is to be held at the home of Mrs. J. R. Skinner on March 7th, with roll call to be answered with Pennies for Friend- ship for A. C. W. W. Funds.

KELVIN GROVE W. 1.

---Mrs. Percy MacMurdo enter- tained the members of Kelvin Grove W. 1.. at the February meeting on Tuesday evening, Feb- ruary 6th. Meeting opened with Jingle Bells, followed by creed in unison. Minutes were read, ap- proved and signed. Twelve mem- bers answered roll call with a health rule. Three visitors were present and one member from past year joined for ensuing year. After some discussion, it was de- cided to leave packing box of clothing until next month to see it more articles would come in. It was also decided to pack two or more boxes of meat to be sent to an Institute in England. Mrs. Laird and Mrs. Millar to takei charge of packing them.

It was moved and seconded to

buy a T.B. bond, also to pay our share of the expenses of the delegate who goes to the Leadership Course in Charlotte- town, also :2.00 membership ice to Drama Festival. Mrs. Lorne Crozier passed in nine dollars from party held at her home and nine dollars was passed in'from a party held by Mrs. Horace Paynter and Miss Ethel Callaghan.

Birch Grove Women's. Institute met on Thursday, March 1st at the home of Mr..and Mrs. George Lewis, with the President, Mrs. Iiruman Paynter presiding.
