Toe Committee for Spiritual Poetry is happy to give poets the opportunity to enter their work in the first annual SRI CHINIVDY POETRY AWARE,

a national competition named in ,honor of Sri Chimney, poet-seer and Director of the United Nations Meditation Group. ,

The following prizes are being offered for new and unpublished poems of outstanding qualityzan' award of $500 for first prize; an award of $300 for second prize; an award of $100 for third prize; 40 gift prizes for l'morable mention.

1. Deadline for entries is November 27, l977. should be submitted to: ’Ihe Sri Chinmoy Poetry Awards, The Committee for Spiritual Poetry, 86—16 Parsons Boulevard, Jamaica, N.Y. 11432. . 2. Entries are limited to a total of 100 lines. Please submit four copies. Your name, address and phone number along with an alternate phone number for the period December 27—January 1 should be placed on the first page of each poem; each succeeding page should have your name and the title at the upper left. A self—addressed, stamped envelope must accompany your entry if you desire its return. ' ,. 3. Sri ChiJmoy has consented to act as the final judge in the first annual competition. Announcement of the winning poems will be made on December 27, 1977.

4. The Awards ceremony will be held on January 13, 1978 in Na» York City at an hour and place to be announced

'lhe UPEI Fencing Club holds its sessions every Thursday afternoon at 4:00 pm. , and Saturday morning at 9:30 am. Both sessions are held in the activity room of the UPEI gym. All interested are asked to turn out.
