Further Resolved, That this conference is of the opinion that meantime the most stringent methods available should be employed to suppress the evils of imtem- perance and that the conference request its ministers to bring before their congre gations the matter of temperance by preaching sermons thereon and by fre- quently calling attention to the matier from their pulpits.

A meeting of the oyster fishermen of Eomore and Percival s rivers, was beld on tbe 26th inst., to discuss what action should be taken in regard tothe Jea*ing of oyster beds in this Province, Tie menting was addressed by Messrs David Bryant, Jono Gillis, Jobn Bryant, Frank Morpby, Havelock Brvant and twenty- five others.
