,The May meeting or the Park- dsle women's Institute was held in the hall on June 5th with an attendance of twenty-seven mem- bers. The president, Mrs. Cant- well presided. The correspondence was read including a letter or thanks from a lady in England who had received a food parcel sent through the V. E. F. B.

The school committee reported that new parts were needed (or rhythm band and that 230 pupils were,enrolled. The sick committee sent six cards also flowers to ll member in the Hospital.

The treasurer. Mrs. Joe Gallant gave her report which showed favourable balance after all bills were paid. The Girl Guides enter- tained the Central Royalty Cuiides at a party held in the hall under the guidance of their sponsors. It was decided that Mr. Curran be asked to tune the piano twice an- nually and to attend to any neces- sary repair. It was agreed that the premium woollen blanket be sent to the Winnipeg Relief and that linen be purchased to be made into tablecloths for the Institute. Mrs. Burns and Mrs. Moore were the delegates appointed to attend the annual meeting oi the "Drama Festival".
