Boer Soldiers Simply Laid Hand on What They Wanted.
Gustav'Schlacht arrived’in New York recently on the steamer St. Paul, hav— ing come through from Johannesburg, South Africa, without stopping. Mr. Schlacht was the publisher of a paper in Johannesburg, called the African Jewish Gazette. In describing the situation prior to his departure, Mr. Schlacht said:
