Prob- ably one of the ministers will formally pre- fer a charge, so as to bring it with the jurisdiction of the Conference. The in- | quiry may be called at St. Joha withiu a | few weeks.

English Mail Service.

An arrangement has been made by the Postmaster (jeneral extending the Allan's | contract for the weekly Knglish mail service for another year, but a combine will be made with the Dominion Line, the latter putting on the Labrador and Vancouver in summer and receiving two-fifths of two contract price, while ia the winter time the Dominion will get halfand put on the Labrador, Vancouver and Sarnia,
