We always look forward to seeing familiar faces, but the administration and staff of the Robertson Library are extending a special welcome this month to all students, faculty, staff and members of the Island community who are new to UPEI this year. For students whose only contact with the Library so far has been the Kegistration Day “photo op’ at the Sports Centre, staff have compiled the following list of suggestions to help you make the most of the Library's collections and services:

There are numerous photocopiers for your use, and ; photocopy cards are available at the Circulation Desk to Information Desk.

Visit the Library early in the semester, and often.

Always carry your Library card with you. Beware of lending your card to someone else; if items are late or lost, it is you and not your friend who will receive an overdue billing.

Visit our Home Page. Just log on to one of the Internet access microcomputers in Room 103 behind The Pit. Click Windows 3.1, Internet Applications, and Netscape. From the UPEI Home Page, we're just one click away! Check out University Librarian Dan Savage's Welcome Message.

If you are not registered in any courses that include a Library tour early in the semester, drop by the Information Desk to see if you can join a tour that is already scheduled. .

Ask someone at the Information Desk to show you how to use Bobcat, the Library's catalogue, or any of the printed reference sources or CD-ROM databases. :

Don't leave empty-handed! If you come to the Library for something and cannot find it, ask Information Desk staff to assist you.
