The British and Foreign Bible Society are doing a. marvellous work in their great Missionary effort. But with no help from Continental Europe and with many ap- peala from these and other countries, the onus of this outlay falls almost entirely on the British Empire and tllS United States, yet more and more Bibles are needed.

Are we doing what we should and can? Financial appeals of the past have been rather mediocre affairs but we are glad to say there is a decided change. Willing workers have met with good rqception---contributions have increased nicely.
