Colonel Schwarzkopf in one of his bulletins said:

“No significance is based on the fact that Curtis ill his confession spells Colonel Lindberghs name ‘Linbergh.’ "

He also said handwriting experts “all generally agree" that the notes to Dr. Condon were written by a man. This served to spike a publish- ed report that experts had agreed both the "Jafsie" notes and the oi‘- iginal ransom demand had been written by a woman."
