Well, 86-87 is starting off with a bang. Expo-losion ’86 promises to be the best Orientation ever. The hi-light of the program just has to be Wednesday night’s bash with “Bowser and Blue’ and ‘The Parts Dept.’. Those of you who caught “Bowser and Blue’ last September in the Panther Lounge will re- member their outrageous comedy and spectacular musicanship. The boys parody everything from the Top 40 to sex in the ’80’s. Winners of many awards, this year, George Bowser and Ricky Blue were honoured with the COCA (Cana- dian Organization of Campus Activities) Entertainers of the Year Award. Currently George and Ricky “have a new single ‘Polka’ Dot Undies’ which is getting 1éads' of airplay in Cen- tral Canada. Both of them are looking forward to playing for us again, théy Say that the Univer- sity crowds are their best audiences.

The Parts Dept. combines today’s up- tempo beat with good old Rock ’n Roll to come up with one of the best party sounds going today. Last year they played at U.P.E.1. in the Panther Lounge as part of our summer entertainment series

Ronnie Hawkins when he played at the S.U.B. last September. Upcoming gigs for the band in- clude dates in Halifax and open- ing for Dr. Hook when he comes to Charlottetown this fall. This is certainly a band to watch out for.

One of the hottest new bands to hit P.E.1. this year has got to be “Steps Around the House’. Long a fixture of the Halifax scene ‘Steps’ is just now starting to catch on in P.E.I. This talented group of performers will be rockin’ down the house at the S.U.B. at.the first Main Event of the year on Thursday, September 4th. This stop will be one of many on their farewell to the Maritimes. University tour.
