COUNCIL OFFICE, 6th May, 1869. IS Honor the Administrator in Council has been pleased to constitute a Board for the general super- vision of‘ the Public Works and Highways in this Island, and to appoint the following gentlemen members there- of, viz :— For Queen‘s County: the Honorable Robert P. Hay- thorne.

For Prince County : do Alexander Laird. For King’s County: do Andrew A. Mac- Donald.

His Honor in Council has also been pleased to make the following appointments, viz :—

Mr. Benjamin Williams, to be Superintendent of Pub- lic Works for Queen’s County ;

Mr. John Clay, to be Superintendent of Public Works for Prince County;

Mr. Thomas Clay, to be Superintendent of Public Works for King’s County;—under and by virtue of an Act passed in the late Session of the General Assembly, intituled “ An Act to provide for the appointment of a Board for the general supervision of the Public Works and Highways in this Island.”

New London. Ample security will be required in both cases. The wharf to be finished by the First day of October next. The bridge to be com- pleted by the First day of August. 1870.
