Two Dars Sporr.—The Martime Prov- incial Championships andthe C. W. A. Maritime Championships are to be held at Moncton this year, and it is expected that both meets will be the greatest ever held these. The Moncton Amateur Athletic Association has arranged the dates of the meets very satisfactorally to the sporting fraternity whereby competitors in both meets, well as those attending same, may be saved loss of time and expense io travel, etc. The Maritime Chatmpionshipe will be held oa Saturday, September 20d, and the C.W. A. Championships on the following Mon- day, (Labor Day,) September the 4th. Coming so close together and being on the same groands there should be a large fieid of competitors and a big attendance of lovers of good amateur sport. Moncton has one of the best quarter mile tracks in Canada, and valuable and handsome tro- phies are offered. Entries for the Maritime Meet must be made on or before Aug. 26, with R. Interesting Proceedings.

The Uigh Court of the Iudependent Order of Foresters met at Kensington yes terday. Mr. J. M. Clarke, of Summerside, Hign Chief Ranger, occupied the. chair. There was a good representation of officers and delegates, every court in the jurisdic- tion being represented.
