YARMOUTH, N. 5., July 2l-Ace McCluskey of Charlottetown scored a knockout over Pat (Sailor) Phil- lips of Dartmouth, N. 3., here to- night in the fifth round of a scheduled 10-rounder.

MoCluskey sent the Novu Scotia bsttler to tho canvas in the fourth and fifth rounds before adminis- tering tho final kayo punch. Phil- lips took two counts in the fourth and four in the fifth before stay- ing down for the full count.

'1\he fans that were present watched the court aces give everything they had in both singles and doubles and as a result the tennis displayed was easily the best witnessed here since the days when these same courts were the scene of the Eastern Can- adian tennis championships.

In s brilliant display of tennis, Henri Rochon, Canada's No. 1 player yesterday defeated Laird Wstt, former Davis Cup player two sets to one in an exhibition singles match staged on the courts of the Charlottetown Ten- nis Club.
