A Toronto despatch states that Cashdale 2.13, that recently passed into the ownership of R. O'Neill. London, Ont, 1s heading for Nova Scotia to be campaigned on that circuit. Last season he took part in 11 events and had winning brackets in five of them. He is eligible to the 2.26 class and should be another good campaigner for the Marltimes.

The meeting was attended by over 50 horsemen and in that respect and also in the participation of those present. was the best in years. Lee Howard. Cornwall, whose Billy Kalmuck 2.14, driven by Willard Kelly. had 106 points. Mr. How- ard also received a cheque of $15.00 from the Club and $30.00 from the Charlottetown Driving Park and Provincial Exhibition Association. Second best for points was owner James McNelll of Ken- slngton, whose Lorraine Abbe 2.07%, driven by Willard and Lorne Kelly, won with 100 points. The prize was $10.00. Harold Stead. Brackley, was third with 92 points with his O. U. Volo 2.10%, the prize being $7.00. Fourth in the standing was Eva Worthy 2.12%, owned by Dr. Pres- ton McIntyre and driven by Leo Collins with 84 points. The prize was $5.00.

Attending the meeting wss David Neima of New Glasgow; George B. Gay of Moncton. and K. M. Armstrong of Truro, in the interests of the l-lorsemerfa Pro- tective Association which Mr. Neima is promoting. Great sup- port is belng given to it in Nova Scotls and Mr. Gay's association in New Brunswick has promised its co-operatlon. The meeting vot- ed favorably toward its adoption and a committee consisting of W. J. Brown. Sin. D. K. MacLeod and Willard Kelly were appointed from this province to co-operate with the others. As explained by Mr. Nelma the money would be ob- tained by deducting 3% from purses at supporting tracks and could also be augmented by a $10.00 membership fee for drivers and by other means. Mr. Nelma has given a lot of time and at- tention to the promotion of the Association and with his energetic temperament and driving force we are confident will carry it to a successful conclusion.
