“We want to keep our League of Nations Society in Japan, whether or not ultimately Japan officially withdraws from the League," Prince Tokugawa observed. “There are many of us in Japan who are still desirous of cooperating with the League."

The Prince is President oi the Japanese League of Nations Society and the Japanese Red Cross Society. For 30 years prior to hrs retirement from the post last June he was President of the Japanese House of Peers.

Relations between Great Britain and Japan and Canada and Japan were as cordial as ever. Japan had not felt the depression to the some degree as European and American countries.
