It can safely be said that the performance waa the best given by a repertoire company here for some time. The costuming of the ladies was a very pretty feature. Indeed, few compauies visiting Halifax dressed as elaborately as the ladies of this company did last evening. Miss Mills, in the double role of Mercy Baxter and Lucy Ashew, gave s polished per- formance. This talented Ja!y is winning her way into the gool gracer of the Hali- fax theatre-go'rs more and more and can now be claseed as a Halifax tavorite. She appeared to great advantage last evening and her work was highly appreciated. The other members of the cast acquitted themselves well. The specialties were well received.—Halifax Herald.
