At tho Rotary luncheon yesterday Rotsrian Neil D. MacLean presided. The chairman of the Committees that had been appointed for the rec- ent conference gave their reports. ‘These-showed that there were 324 registrations. The secretary was in- structed to send letters of thanks to R. T. Holman Limited, Prowse Bros. Limited and Moore and McLeod for furnishing the stage settings for the Prince Edward Theatre where. the conference was held, also to the Boy

President Palmer said the confer- ence had three important results: first, it. brought Rotary to Charlotte- town and mod¢ the club realize that it was part of the big international organization, second, it brought the ladiesfogether, third, it put the club on the map in District 32.

There was a. general discussion a- bout matters in connection with the conference. It. was pointed out that Halifax club had made ‘I4 reserva- tions at a. certain hotel. 52 delegates failed to show up, and as the hotel had been guaranteed pay for the full number, it, was felt that something would have to be-done to have this matter properly adjusted. Another hotel was 29 short of its reservations. One Rotarlan suggested that in the future a cash ‘ r “ should pany every application for a. reser- vation.

The musical program comprised a vocal solo by Miss Margaret Sterns, who was encored.

Mr. D. A. McNeili of Moncton and formerly of Charlottetown was a guest.
