-.A MEETING of the Board of Health was held yesterday afternoon to take into con- sideration the securing ofa hospital for contagious diseases. , The difi‘erentmem- bers of the Board dwell upon the need of a hospital for infectious diseases. It was suggested that the citysecure a site in an isolated place for the construction of a hospital,” beyond the Driving Park the building to cost $1.000. In the mean time a committee consisting of Dr. Johnson, S. W. Crabbe and Dr. Kelly were appointed to locate a temporary building and to look into a permanent location for the erection of a hospital if the Board should decide‘ upon such ‘a course.

0N Wednesday evening last the Harvest Thanksgiving Service was held in St. Mark’s Church, Kensington. The decorations were "very pretty. Flowers, Ferns, and Autumn leaves, entwined themselvesthrough the chancel, while a large display of fruit and vegetables of all kinds showed to great advantage in the various windows of the church.
