IN pursuance of the Act of the General Assembly of

this Island, made and passed in the Seventh year ofthe Reign of His late Majesty King William the Fourth, intituled An Act for levying an Assessment on all Lands in this Island—I do here- oy publicly notify the Owners or Occupiers of Land within this Island, for which the Annual Assessment charged thereoa by the said recited Act, of Four Shillings, lawful money of this Island, for every Hundred Acres of wilderness or unimproved Lands contained in the several Townships, and the several Islands be— longing thereto; and the sum of Two Shillings for every Hun- dred Acres of cultivated or improved Land in the said several Townships and Islands as aforesaid; and the sum of Four Shil- lings for each and ever uncultivated or umimpi-oved Town Lot, Pasture Lot, Common 0t and Water Lot, granted in the Town and Royalty ofCharlortetown; and the sun of Two Shillings for each and every cultivated or improved Town, Pasture, Com» mon and Water Lot as aforesaid; and the sum of Two Shillings and Eightpence for each and every Town Lot, Pasture Lot and Water Lot, granted in the Towns and Royalties of Georgetown and Princetown; and the sum of One Shilling and Fourpence for each and every cultivated or improved Town, Pasture and I’Vater Lot, granted in the said last-mentioned Towns and Royal- ties, and so in proportion for a less quantity; and the sum of One Penny per acre on each and every acre ofcultivated or improved Land in the Royalty of Georgetown, called reserved Lands; and the sum of Twopence per acre on each and every acre of such Lands as may be deemed uncultivated or improved Lands, is pav- able, that unless the Assessment for the current year be paid iniu my hands, or the hands of my Deputies, on or before the Twenty- ﬁrst of December, 1841, I shall, on the last day of the next Hilary Term, at Charlottetown, make Proclamation of all such Lands as

There is besides a beautiﬂil stream of water runnipg close by the premises; in which, when the tideds in, a good sized boat can come within a hundred vards of the door. In short, n'more desirable farm can seldom be met with fora person of industry and moderate capital, and the Subscriber’s only motive for parting with itis an intention of returning in_ the decline oflife to his friends anti relatives in Eng- land.. The dwelling- house, to which is attached a Shop or Store, has recently been thoroughly repaired and considerably enlarged, so as to afford every convenience for the accommodation ofa respectable family. It has a frost-proofcellar underneath, and a never-failing well of water at the door.

These remises—plesantly situated, on the banks ofthe river Westmor and, in the midst ofa thriving and populous settlement, and within 15 chains ofthe public Wharf—afford an opportunity for investment, both for agricultural and commercial purposes, seldom to be met with.

1. That a fund shall be raised, to defray the expenses ofthe undertaking.

2. That every person subscribing the sum of Five Pounds, shall be entitled to select from Emigrants consigned to the Society, two Servants, male or female, of the following description, viz: domestic servants, as grooms, gardeners, &c., or one farming ,bailitf or cook.

3. That every person, on paying Two Pounds Ten Shillings, shall be entitled, in the same manner, to one servant; but in the cases of farming bailiff or cook, Five Pounds must be paid.

4. Three farming labourers will be considered as two domestic servants, and paid for aCcordingly.
