Jerome Quinn: J e r om c was born at Cardigan. P.E.l., in 1933. the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Quinn. For the past eleven years he has" been residing at

MRS. SAMUEL JARDINI-J There passed quietly away at Charlottetown, on April 20th, Mrs. Madeline Jardine. widow or the late Samuel Jardine, of Orwell. in her ninety-seventh year. Mrs. Jar- dlne had been in failing health for several years and had been bed- fast for some time prior to her passing.
Born at Crapaud she was the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. P. A. Kidson.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. A. P. Loomis, Florida; Mrs. Neil MacKlnnon. Cross Roads; Mrs. S. V. Acorn. Amherst; Mrs. Wm. Masters. Vernon River.
The funeral service was conducted by Rev. J. D. Davison in the Uigg Baptist Church. During the ser- vice a solo "Beyond the Sunset" was very beautifully rendered by Mrs. Kenneth Payntcr. Pallbearers were Messrs. Roy Milton. S. E. Maceliod. Warren Dawson, Petcr MacQueen. Ernest Shaw, Otis Mac-

Frcrich sources said after the callcelled press conference that France has asked postponement of the opening until Saturday and Russia is expected to agree. Resources Minister Lesage re- piled that ill a recent case the gov- ernment sent a representative to Newfoundland to help authorities set up a park. Mr. MacLean said he had heard of no historic site parks ill British Columbia. New- foundland or Prince Edward Is- land although they had been es- tablished ln other provinces.
"I sill wondering whether con- sideration is being given to pre- serving such places as Fort Mac- Lead in Southern Alberta and per- haps Fort Lajoie across the harbor from; Charlottetown or any places in Newfoundland," Mr. MacLean asked.
