Another milestone has been reached in the chain of communication between Prince Edward Island and the rest of Canada. 260 feet in length, powered by two 1600 horse- power engines, the Prince Nova will run from Caribou, N. 5., to Prince Edward Island, with a capacity of 300 passengers and will enable the service to handle Up to l000 car a day. Named for the two provinces it will serve, the $2,500,000 vessel adds yet another important chapter to the long history of sea travel between Prince Ed ward Island the “Garden of the Gulf” and her

neighboring province of Nova Scotia.

Shown above is the wheelhouse of the Prince Nova. Com- plete with the latest in navigatibnai aids and lifesaving equipment this vessel is supreme in her field. Each engine in this modern vessel operates a controllable pitch propeller which enables the Prince Nova to turn in her own length.
