Martell was represented by S. I. Hessian, QC. He also plead- ed guilty to and was fined $50.00 and costs or twenty days. for damage to a lantern to the val- ue of less than $50. the proper- ty of tho Department of Trans- port. This was a range light sit- uated on the Cardigan ferry wharf on the Cardigan river and was shot out with a .22 rifle.

The accused was also ordered to make restitution for the lan- tern in the amount of $5.25 or serve an additional 5 days. In this case he was also represent- ed by Mr. Hessian.

Deputy Attorney General J. Arthur MacGuigan represented the Crown in all cases before the court.
