LASSES are about to be formed in Charlottetown, for the in-

struction of Otlicers and Non-Commissioned Ofiicers of Volun~ teers and Regular Militia,and ofother gentlemen desirous ofobtain- ing Commissions and Appointments in the Militia.

There will he classes in the morning from 6.45, a m. to 7.45, a. in., and also classes in the evening. Any further information respecting the arrangements will be furnished on application to the Adjutant General or Captain Cropley.

In all points of Drill and Instruction. Oilicers will rank as Privates whilst actually in Course of Instruction in these claSScS.

Examinations will be held from time to time, in accordance with Sections 18, 19 and 20 of the Militia Act, and certificates will be granted to those who pass such examinations. -

It is requested that gentlemen desirous otattending these classes will forward their names to Captain Crcpley, on or before Saturday, the 16th instant.

Classes for instruction will also be formed at Summerside and Georgetown. Ollicers, non-Commissioned Ollicers and other gentle- men desirous of obtaining certificates are requested to forward their names to Captain Uropley without delay.

Ofiicers, non-commissioned Officers and other gentlemen, in the Country districts, desirous of obtaining certificates, who live at too great a distance to allow of their attending drill at the above places, are also requested to forward their names without delay, to Capt.Cropley,in order that arrangements may be made for aliording them instruction. day pleased to fix and determine the rate at which the amount of the Invoice of Dutiable Goods imported into this Is- land from the United States of America, shall, in estimating the

duties payable thereon, be reduced into currentmoney of the Island, as follows:—

In all cases where such Invoices shall be made out in Dollars and Cents of the paper currency of the United States. the amount of such Invoice shall be reduced into current money of this Island, by allowmgfor each Dollar the sum of Five Shillings, and in the like proportion for any fraction of a. Dollar; of which all Collec- tors of Impost are to take notice and govern themselves accor-

SHERIFF’S SALE. Y virtue of a Writ of Statute Execution to me directed. issued out of Her Majesty’s Supreme Court of Judicature, at the suit of William Hamilton Ilobkirk, against the lands, tenements and hereditaments of John Egan, late ofCharlottetown, deceased, I have taken and seized as the property cfthe said late John Egan, deceased, All the right, title and freehold interest of the said late John Egan, in his lifetime, in and to all that tract, piece or parcel of ground and premises, situate in Charlottetown, in Prince Edward island, being Lot No. 17, as laid down on a Plan of subdivision of several Town Lots purchased by Charles Hens- ley, and lodged in the oliiee of the Surveyor General of the said Island, having a front of Forty feet on Grafton Lane, and ex- tending back Seventy feet on to the division line of Lots numbers Fifteen and Sixteen, and on the south by Lot No. Eighteen, on the Plan of subdivisxon aforesaid; also, all that tract ofland and premises known as Plots Numbers Ten and lilcven, on the Plan of that portion 0t Common Lot belonging to Francis Longw0rth, said Plot No. Ten commencing on the South—west side of a new Street called Longworth Street, at a distance of Ninety-nine feet from the St. Peter’s lload, thence extending Soutluwestwardly along said new Street Forty feet, and from said two points ex- tending parallel sidc lines at right angles, for the distance of Eighty—eight feet, and said plot Number Eleven, having a sullici- out front on the St. Peter‘s lioad to give Forty-six feet on a right angleline,and extending from the St. Peter‘s Road by parallel side lines, South-eastwardly, the South-castwardly side line having Seventy-two feet, and the north—eastern Eighty—seven feet in length—said two Plots being bounded on their several sides in the manner laid down on said Plan, and agreeably to the fore- going description; also, all that other tract of land and premises situate on or forming part of t‘oznmon Lot Number Thirty-two, within the Royalty of Charlottetown, and described as Plot No. Twelve in a certain Deed of conveyance of part of said (‘onimon Lot, executed by said Francis Longn‘orth and Sarah Parker, his wife, to John Longworth, hearing date the fifth day of July. 18-36, and also on the plan annexed to said Deed, the said plot being bounded on the North-westward by the St. Peter’s Road, having a suilicient front thereon to give Forty-two feet or; a right angle line, with parallel side lines running South-eastwardly from said read to the Smith-western side inc, being eighty-eight feet in length and the North-eastern Ninety-nine feet, the said North- eastern linc following the side line'of a new Street recently open- cd from the St. Peter’s Road to .liustou Street; and 1 do hereby give public notice that I will, on ’l'hursduy, the 12th day ofJuly, 1866,;at 1:3 o‘clock. noon, at the Colonial Building, in Charlotte- town, aforesaid, sct up and sell, at Public Auction, the said! property, or as much thereof as will satisfy the levy marked on the said writ, being £111 Us ‘Jd, and interest on £10!) from the 22d day of April last, 1501, until paid, together with 163 8d for
