VOLUNTEER MILITIA.

No. 1-—-In consequence of the increased strength of the undcrmentioned arms, the following alteration will take place from this date :—

The two Companies of Mounted Riflemen and the two batteries of Artillery will cease to form, as hither~ to, integral portions of the Queen’s County Regiment Of Volunteer Militia; they will,in futurc,he designatedthe corps ofMounted Riflemen (Nos. 1 and 2 Companies),and the Corps of Artillery (Nos. 1 and 2 batteries), and be, when united in the field, respectively under the order of their senior Captain, as Captain Commandant, each Corps to be separately subject to 215t clause of the Militia Law.

They will be attached tO the Queen’s County Regi- ment of Volunteer Militia for administrative purposes, being under the strength required by Imperial Voluu- teer Regulations to constitute separate Regiments or Brigades. _

The two batteries of Artillery will be equalized gra- dually, supernumerary men. arms and clothing will be, by mutual arrangement between the Captains, trans- ferred from No. 1 tO No. 2 Battery.

No. 2—Capt. Commandant T. Morris, commanding the corps of Artilleryattached to the Queen’s County Re— ginient of Volunteer Militia. having duly qualified in accordance with the 20th clause of Militia Law, to have the rank of Major.
