Ar Summersips. — A correspondent at Summer.ide writes: ‘“‘Everything is pretty dull here just now; not a veesel in port except- ing those laid up for the wioter, and no pro duce moving. As yet there has not been a cake of ice or even loliy seen in the harbor this year, I do not think that such @ thing ever occurred here before, at least not within the memory of the oldest inhabitant. It is true that the harbor has been open for navi- gation later in the season, but there has in variably been cold weather and plenty of ice around either ia November or early in Dec ember.”

of the Prince Edward Island Hospital for 1891-92 has been issued, and is now in the hands of subscribers. The report shows that the income for the year was $4,815 23, and the disbursements $3,057.47, leaving a balance on hand of $1,757 76. The church esllections amounted to $654 40, being $165 38 iu excess of the previous year ; and the fees received from paying patients ex

ceed those of the previous year by $291 65

The cash subscriptions for the year are also more by §$72479, net including the $700 special subscriptions to p-y off the mort gage. The number of patients admit- ted during the year was 110; of these there were discharged cured, 66; improved, 26; not treated, 1; incurable, 2; died, 10; re- maining, 5. The number of medical cases was 45; of surgical cases 65, ef operations, 44. P. E. Island was the birthplace of 92 of the patients. The Ccisputed will case in the estate of ; the late Samuel E. Sawyer, of Gloucester, | Mass., it is expected, will come up before Justice Charles E. Allen, of the Supreme Jud c al Court at Salem, on Wednesday.

Next to the Searles will case, it is the} most important for many years. The | amount of property involved is about! $700,000.

The vial will probably not take less than ten days in any case, and may consume nearly a month.

The counsel for the contestants will be Gen. Beojimin F. Butler and Eugene Had- ley of Bwion. The defence will be con- ducted by Hon, Charles A. Russell, of Gloucester, and Elbridge T. Burley, ot Liwr nee, who was on the Searles will case. The will is to be disputed on the ground cf undue influence and insanity.
